Lisa's professional background has been focused on marketing and business strategy. About 10 years ago, she decided to finally give in to her passion and apply that same experience and set of skills to the wine industry.

She had a plan.

Take leadership roles in all segments of the wine business and gain the experience necessary to become an indispensable team member of any winery, importer, distributor or trade association in the US or abroad.

Early on, Lisa was responsible for developing and executing direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives for a variety of Napa and Sonoma Valley wineries, such as Chappellet, Lynmar, Joseph Phelps, The Hess Collection. These initiatives focused on ecommerce, online and tasting room strategy, along with ongoing customer communication plans. Her customized marketing programs were designed to generate incremental sales, new wine club memberships, increased winery and tasting room traffic, and enhanced brand awareness. Growth in direct-to-consumer sales averaged 45-50% with targeted programs generating lifts as high as 300%.

Lisa moved on to the wholesale channel as Marketing Director for Vine Connections, the leading US importer of premium Argentine wine and boutique Japanese sake, where she led the strategic direction and marketing plans for this nationally distributed portfolio of 28 brands and 100+ products. This included developing and maintaining a consistent brand message for Vine Connections and its producers across all channels, including press, distributor and trade communications, online and direct-to-consumer. All product packaging, including naming, brand story, label design, also fell under Lisa's direction. Lisa and her team were also responsible for creating arguably the most creative distributor educational and sales support materials in the category.

It was Lisa's belief that one cannot become a true wine professional without experiencing other global markets. Tasting it is one thing, living it is another. Giving in to her wanderlust, Lisa moved to Argentina in 2006 just as Malbec was becoming the darling of the wine world. Here she led brand marketing and international sales for the Vines of Mendoza, a growth stage wine, hospitality, and real estate development company. She and her team developed and managed the international direct sales operation, which includes The Vines of Mendoza Tasting Room (South America's first and only collective tasting room), two international wine clubs, and US ecommerce site featuring the largest selection of boutique Argentine wines in the US. In 2010, the wines of Greece started calling her name as they reminded her of where Argentina's wine industry was a decade ago. You'll now see her in Greece several weeks during the year assisting leading Greek importer Diamond Wines and its wineries on various marketing initiatives.

Lisa graduated with a BA in International Business from Augustana College. She was awarded the Rotary Foundation International Graduate Scholarship and obtained her MBA in Marketing from the Manchester Business School in Manchester, England. When she is not in Argentina or Greece, she resides in California wine country with her husband and stepson.
